आरोहे पर्यवस्कन्दे सरणे सान्तरप्लुते । सम्यक्प्रहरणे याने व्यपयाने च कोविदम्,चढ़ने, उतरने, फैलने, कूद-कूदकर चलने, भली-भाँति प्रहार करने, युद्धके लिये जाने और अवसर देखकर पलायन करनेमें भी कुशल हैं
ārohe paryavaskande saraṇe sāntaraplute | samyak-praharaṇe yāne vyapayāne ca kovidam ||
Sañjaya dit : «Ils excellent à monter et descendre, à bondir et se mouvoir vite sur un terrain difficile, à se déployer et à changer de manœuvre avec tactique ; à frapper juste dans la mêlée ; à s’avancer vers le combat, et aussi à se retirer lorsque l’instant l’exige.»
