Śaineya’s Breakthrough and Reunion with Arjuna (शैनेयस्य समागमः)
In a crisis, one must discern kṛtya—what is truly to be done—according to prāptakāla, the demands of the moment. The verse frames ethical action as timely, context-sensitive duty rather than impulse.
Sañjaya reports that Sātyaki advances into the battle with apparent fearlessness. This prompts the question of how Duryodhana, facing that threat, assessed the proper immediate course of action.
