Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 114 — Karṇa–Bhīmasena Missile Exchange, Disarmament, and Arjuna’s Intervention

The passage highlights role-based dharma in crisis: one warrior advances to secure the mission’s success while another assumes the protective duty of guarding the king. It emphasizes responsibility, coordination, and prioritizing the common objective over personal display.
In the midst of battle arrangements, Sātyaki indicates a course of action; Bhīma responds by urging Sātyaki to move ahead to accomplish the task, while Bhīma himself takes on the responsibility of protecting the king. After this exchange, Mādhava (Kṛṣṇa) replies to Bhīma.
