तौ दृष्टवा प्रविविक्षन्ती तव सेनामरिंदमौ । संयत्तास्तावका: सर्वे तस्थुद्रोणपुरोगमा:,उन दोनों शत्रुदमन वीरोंको आपकी सेनामें प्रवेश करनेके लिये इच्छुक देख ट्रोणाचार्य आदि आपके सारे सैनिक सावधान होकर खड़े हो गये

Transliteration

tau dṛṣṭvā pravivikṣantī tava senām ariṃdamau | saṃyattās tāvakāḥ sarve tasthur droṇapurogamāḥ ||

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Voyant ces deux héros, dompteurs d’ennemis, résolus à forcer l’entrée de ton armée, toutes tes troupes se tinrent en alerte, prêtes au combat, avec Droṇa à leur tête. L’instant montre qu’en guerre, le courage et la résolution d’un camp appellent aussitôt la vigilance et une préparation disciplinée de l’autre.
