युधिछिर उवाच
In the midst of war, a righteous leader relies not on solitary pride but on duly formed alliances and entrusted guardianship. The verse highlights the kṣatriya ethic of protection—security is a shared responsibility among comrades bound by duty and loyalty.
Yudhiṣṭhira expresses firm confidence that Dhṛṣṭadyumna with his brothers, the allied kings, and Draupadī’s five sons will guard him. The statement reassures his side about the protective formation around the king, whose safety is crucial for the army’s morale and command.
