Droṇa-parva 112: Karṇa–Bhīma Engagement and Duryodhana’s Protective Order
नाहं शोचामि दाशाहं गोप्तारं जगत: पतिम्,कि पुनर्धात॑राष्ट्रस्य बलमेतत् सुदुर्बलम् । तात! मैं दशार्हनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके लिये शोक नहीं करता। वे तो सम्पूर्ण जगत्के संरक्षक और स्वामी हैं। युद्धस्थलमें तीनों लोक संघटित होकर आ जायाँ तो भी वे पुरुषसिंह श्रीकृष्ण उन सबको परास्त कर सकते हैं, यह तुमसे सच्ची बात कहता हूँ। फिर दुर्योधनकी इस अत्यन्त दुर्बल सेनाको जीतना उनके लिये कौन बड़ी बात है?
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |
na ahaṃ śocāmi dāśārhaṃ goptāraṃ jagataḥ patim, ki punaḥ dhārtarāṣṭrasya balam etat sudurbalam ||
Yudhiṣṭhira dit : «Je ne m’afflige pas pour Dāśārha (Śrī Kṛṣṇa), protecteur du monde et souverain de l’univers. À plus forte raison, pourquoi craindrais-je cette troupe si faible des fils de Dhṛtarāṣṭra ? Pour celui qui soutient le cosmos tout entier, vaincre une armée aussi chétive n’est pas grande affaire.»
