गाहमानस्त्वनीकानि तूर्णमश्वानचोदयत् । बलाकाभ तु दाशार्ह: पाउ्चजन्यं व्यनादयत्,सेनाके भीतर घुसते हुए श्रीकृष्णने तीव्र वेगसे अपने घोड़ोंको आगे बढ़ाया और बगुलोंके समान श्वेत रंगवाले अपने पांचजन्य शंखको बड़े जोरसे बजाया
gāhamānas tv anīkāni tūṇam aśvān acodayat | balākābha tu dāśārhaḥ pāñcajanyaṃ vyanādayat ||
Sañjaya dit : Tandis qu’il s’enfonçait dans les formations ennemies, Kṛṣṇa—le Dāśārha—lança les chevaux en avant avec une vigueur fulgurante, puis fit retentir sa conque Pāñcajanya, blanche comme une volée de grues, d’un souffle tonitruant — geste qui affermit les alliés, défia les ennemis et proclama une résolution inébranlable au cœur du tumulte guerrier.
