Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s appraisal of Vāsudeva’s deeds
तरसैवाभिपलद्याथ यो वै द्रोणमुपाद्रवत् । य: करोति महत् कर्म शत्रूणां वै महाबल:,जिन्होंने वेगसे ही पहुँचकर द्रोणाचार्यपर आक्रमण किया था, जो शत्रुके समक्ष महान् पराक्रम प्रकट करते हैं, जो महाबली, महाकाय और महान् उत्साही हैं तथा जिनमें दस हजार हाथियोंके समान बल है, उन भीमसेनको आते देख किन वीरोंने रोका था?
tarasaivābhipaladyātha yo vai droṇamupādravat | yaḥ karoti mahat karma śatrūṇāṃ vai mahābalaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : «Quels furent les héros qui arrêtèrent Bhīmasena—lui qui, fonçant d’un élan fulgurant, s’était rué sur Droṇācārya ; lui qui accomplit de grands exploits face aux ennemis, tant sa force est immense ?»
