वैदूर्यमणिदण्डैश्व॒ पतितैरड्कुशै: शुभै: । उनके कारण वह युद्धस्थल जलके स्रोत बहानेवाले पर्वतोंसे युक्त-सा प्रतीत होता था। वहाँ नाना प्रकारके रंगवाले कम्बल
vaidūryamaṇidaṇḍaiś ca patitair aṅkuśaiḥ śubhaiḥ |
Sañjaya dit : «Là gisaient, épars, de beaux aiguillons d’éléphant, dont les manches étaient sertis de gemmes vaidūrya (œil-de-chat), tombés au milieu des débris du combat. Ces objets précieux, jetés dans la poussière, faisaient paraître le champ comme un pays de montagnes d’où jaillissent des ruisseaux—riche de “sources” et de chenaux—comme si la richesse et l’ordre de la vie royale avaient été brisés puis répandus par la guerre.»
