Abhimanyu’s assault; Alambusa’s counter-engagement

The verse highlights the Kṣatriya ethic of coordinated duty in war: warriors do not act in isolation but advance in ordered support behind a leader, reinforcing collective responsibility, loyalty, and steadiness under pressure.
Sañjaya lists the warriors who move forward in pursuit/behind a leading figure—Satyadhṛti, Raṇadurmada of the Sauciṭṭi line, Śreṇimān, Vasudāna, and Abhibhū (son of Kāśya)—marking the tightening of battle formations as named heroes join the advance.
