इति श्रीमहा भारते भीष्मपर्वणि भीष्मवधपर्वणि सुनाभादिधृतराष्ट्रपुत्रवधे अष्टाशीतितमो<ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate bhīṣmaparvaṇi bhīṣmavadhaparvaṇi sunābhādidhṛtarāṣṭraputravadhe aṣṭāśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Translation

Ainsi, dans le vénérable Mahābhārata, au sein du Bhīṣma Parva—plus précisément dans la section consacrée à la mise à mort de Bhīṣma—s’achève le quatre-vingt-huitième chapitre, décrivant la mort de Sunābha et d’autres fils de Dhṛtarāṣṭra. Ce colophon marque la clôture d’une unité narrative où la gravité morale de la guerre est soulignée par la chute des héritiers royaux et par la marche inexorable du destin sur le champ de bataille.
