इसके सिवा आपके पुत्रकी आज्ञासे चौदह हजार अच्छे घुड़सवार सुबलपुत्र शकुनिको घेरकर खड़े हुए ।। ततस्ते सहिता: सर्वे विभक्तरथवाहना: । अर्जुनं समरे जघ्नुस्तावका भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ! फिर पृथक्ू-पृथक् रथ और वाहन लिये आपके पक्षके ये सब महारथी वीर समरांगणमें अर्जुनपर अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंका प्रहार करने लगे
sañjaya uvāca | tataḥ te sahitāḥ sarve vibhakta-ratha-vāhanāḥ | arjunaṃ samare jaghnus tāvakā bharatarṣabha ||
Sañjaya dit : Alors tous ces guerriers de ton camp, agissant de concert mais chacun avec son char et sa monture à part, se ruèrent sur Arjuna dans la mêlée—le frappant de leurs armes, ô taureau parmi les Bharata.
