Karma-Yoga, Jñāna-Yajña, and Avatāra Instruction
सम्बन्ध-- आत्माका स्वरूप दुर्विज्ञेग होनेके कारण पुनः तीन श*लोकॉद्वारा प्रकारान््तरसे उसकी नित्यता
na enaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi na enaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ | na ca enaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ ||
Les armes ne peuvent trancher ce Soi (Ātman) ; le feu ne peut le brûler ; l’eau ne peut l’imbiber ni le dissoudre ; le vent ne peut le dessécher.
संजय उवाच
The ātman is indestructible and unaffected by physical forces—weapon, fire, water, or wind—so fear and grief based on the idea that the true Self can be destroyed are unfounded.
Sañjaya narrates Kṛṣṇa’s instruction to Arjuna on the battlefield: to dispel Arjuna’s sorrow and hesitation by affirming the Self’s invulnerability, thereby supporting resolute action in accordance with dharma.
