Chapter 19: Prativyūha of the Pāṇḍavas — Vajra (Acala) Formation and Dawn Omens

संध्यां तिष्ठत्सु सैन्येषु सूर्यस्पोदयन प्रति । प्रावात्‌ सपृषतो वायुर्निरभ्रे स्‍्तनयित्नुमान्‌,सूर्योदयके समय जब सभी सैनिक संध्योपासना कर रहे थे, बिना बादलके ही पानीकी बूँदोंके साथ हवा चलने लगी। उसके साथ मेघकी-सी गर्जना भी होती थी

Transliteration

saṃdhyāṃ tiṣṭhatsu sainyeṣu sūryasyodayanaṃ prati | prāvāt sapṛṣato vāyur nirabhre stanayitnumān ||

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Tandis que les armées, debout, accomplissaient les rites du crépuscule, tournées vers le soleil levant, un vent se leva, portant de fines gouttelettes d’eau ; bien que le ciel fût sans nuages, il grondait comme le tonnerre—signe funeste suspendu au-dessus des guerriers à la veille de la bataille.
