नच सम ते रुजं चक्रुः पितुस्तव जनेश्वर । स्मयमानस्तु गाजड़ेयस्तान्‌ बाणाञज्जगृहे तदा

Transliteration

na ca sama te rujaṃ cakruḥ pitus tava janeśvara | smayamānas tu gāṅgeyas tān bāṇān ajjagṛhe tadā ||

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Ô seigneur des hommes, ces flèches ne causèrent à ton oncle paternel ni blessure ni douleur. Alors Bhīṣma, fils de la Gaṅgā, souriant, reçut paisiblement le choc de ces traits.
