यदेक: समरे पार्थान् सार्जुनानू समयोधयत् । न चैनं पाण्डवा युद्धे वारयामासुरुल्बणम्
sañjaya uvāca |
yad ekaḥ samare pārthān sārjunānū samayodhayat |
na cainaṃ pāṇḍavā yuddhe vārayāmāsur ulbaṇam ||
Sañjaya dit : «Comment se fit-il qu’au plus fort du combat, lui seul affrontât les fils de Pṛthā avec Arjuna, et que pourtant les Pāṇḍava ne pussent arrêter ce guerrier farouche dans la mêlée ?»
संजय उवाच
