भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः
Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed
अथान्यद् धनुरादाय वेगवत् परवीरहा । भगदत्तं रणे क्रुद्धं विव्याध निशितै: शरै:,तब शत्रुवीरोंका हनन करनेवाले सात्यकिने दूसरा वेगवान् धनुष लेकर पैने बाणोंद्वारा युद्धमें क्ुद्ध हुए भगदत्तको बींध डाला
athānyad dhanur ādāya vegavat paravīrahā | bhagadattaṃ raṇe kruddhaṃ vivyādha niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Alors Sātyaki, pourfendeur des champions ennemis, saisit un autre arc rapide et, au cœur de la mêlée, perça de flèches acérées Bhagadatta en proie à la colère. La scène souligne l’élan implacable de la guerre, où prouesse et résolution sont éprouvées sans cesse, et où la fureur sur le champ de bataille devient à la fois arme et péril.
