भीष्मस्य अप्रतिमपराक्रमः — शिखण्डिपुरस्कृतः प्रहारः
Bhīṣma’s unmatched momentum and the assault with Śikhaṇḍin in the lead
त्वरमाणो महाराज सौमदत्तिन्यवारयत् । महाराज! भीमसेन भी अत्यन्त क्रोधमें भरकर गंगानन्दन भीष्मका वध करना चाहते थे; परंतु सोमदत्तपुत्र भूरिश्रवाने तुरंत आकर उन्हें आगे बढ़नेसे रोक दिया

Sañjaya dit : «Ô roi, tandis qu’il se ruait en avant, le fils de Somadatta le retint.» Dans la fournaise du combat, Bhīma—submergé d’une colère farouche et décidé à abattre Bhīṣma, le fils bien-aimé de la Gaṅgā—fut arrêté par Bhūriśravas, fils de Somadatta, qui s’interposa pour empêcher une charge aveugle, dictée par la fureur.
