Transliteration

droṇaś ca drupadaṁ bhittvā śaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Drona, transperçant Drupada de flèches aux jointures bien ajustées et solides, l’abattit dans la mêlée—image de prouesse guerrière qui souligne aussi la sombre tension morale de la guerre, lorsque haine personnelle et devoir se heurtent sur le champ de bataille.
