Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
अपश्यस्त्वं तं तदा घोररूपं सर्वे वै त्वां ददृशुर्दर्शनीयम् । यस्माद् भीत: प्राञ्जलिस्त्वं महर्षि- मागच्छेथा: शरणं दानवघ्न
śakra uvāca | apaśyastvaṃ taṃ tadā ghorarūpaṃ sarve vai tvāṃ dadṛśur darśanīyam | yasmād bhītaḥ prāñjalistvaṃ maharṣi-m āgacchethāḥ śaraṇaṃ dānavaghna ||
Śakra dit : « Oui, en ce temps-là tu vis cet être à l’aspect terrible ; et tous se tournèrent aussi vers toi — ton état était, en vérité, un spectacle à voir. Car, saisi de peur, les mains jointes en supplication, tu t’approchas du grand sage Cyavana pour y chercher refuge, ô pourfendeur des Dānavas. »
