Chapter 8
त॑ं श्रुव्वा भृशसंतप्तं देवराजो बृहस्पतिम् | अधिगम्यामरवृत: प्रोवाचेदं वचस्तदा,देवराज इन्द्रने जब सुना कि बृहस्पतिजी अत्यन्त संतप्त हो रहे हैं, तब वे देवताओंको साथ लेकर उनके पास गये और इस प्रकार पूछने लगे
taṁ śrutvā bhṛśa-santaptaṁ devarājo bṛhaspatim | adhigamyāmaravṛtaḥ provācedaṁ vacas tadā ||
Apprenant que Bṛhaspati, le précepteur des dieux, était accablé d’une profonde détresse, Indra—seigneur des dieux—se rendit auprès de lui, entouré des Immortels, puis lui adressa ces paroles. La scène rappelle le devoir du souverain : se porter au-devant de la souffrance d’un conseiller sage et demander avis avec humilité lorsque le trouble ou le chagrin surgissent.
