बभ्रुवाहन-धनंजययोः संग्रामः
Babhruvāhana and Dhanaṃjaya’s engagement at Maṇipūra
यथाप्राणं यथोत्साहं योधयामासुररजुनम् | अमित तेजस्वी अर्जुनके द्वारा मारे जानेपर भी सैन्धव योद्धा बल और उत्साहपूर्वक उनके साथ जूझते ही रहे
yathāprāṇaṃ yathotsāhaṃ yodhayāmāsur arjunam | amita-tejasvinā arjunena māryamāṇā api saindhavā yodhā bala-utsāha-pūrvakaṃ tena saha yuyudhire ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : De toute la force de leur souffle même, et d’un zèle qui ne faiblissait point, les guerriers combattirent Arjuna. Alors même qu’ils tombaient sous les coups d’Arjuna, dont l’éclat était sans mesure, les combattants saindhavas continuaient de se mesurer à lui, soutenus par la puissance et le courage — image d’une vaillance inébranlable au cœur d’une défaite inévitable.
