Āśvamedha-dīkṣā-nirdeśaḥ — Scheduling the Initiation and Assigning Protection for the Horse
कीर्तयन्त: स्वनामानि तस्य पादौ ववन्दिरे । वे यथायोग्य सबसे मिलकर राजा धृतराष्ट्रके पास गये। अपना-अपना नाम बताते हुए उनके चरणोंमें प्रणाम करने लगे
kīrtayantaḥ svanāmāni tasya pādau vavandire |
Récitant chacun son propre nom, ils se prosternèrent à ses pieds. Selon l’ordre convenable, ils allèrent tous ensemble auprès du roi Dhṛtarāṣṭra et, en se nommant, lui rendirent de respectueux hommages—un acte qui maintient la bienséance de cour, l’humilité et le respect dû aux aînés, même au lendemain du conflit.
