उपयोक्तुं तदिच्छामि वाजिमेथे महाक्रतौ । “भगवन्‌! आपकी कृपासे जो वह रत्न लाया गया है, उसका अश्वमेध नामक महायज्ञमें मैं उपयोग करना चाहता हूँ

Transliteration

upayoktuṃ tad icchāmi vājimethe mahākratau |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : « Avec ta permission, je souhaite employer ce (précieux objet) dans le grand rite sacrificiel—l’Aśvamedha—afin que ce qui a été obtenu par ta grâce soit consacré à une fin conforme au dharma. »
