Subhadrā’s Petition to Kṛṣṇa for the Revival of Parīkṣit
Even in the wake of royal rites and restored order, dharma must include compassion toward suffering; collective grief reveals the impermanence of worldly success and calls leaders to respond with steadiness, care, and ethical responsibility.
Women present in the scene are overwhelmed with sorrow, their eyes streaming with tears, as they announce that the child connected to Vāsudeva through his sister’s line has been born dead.
