Educational Q&A

A ruler guided by dharma does not merely acquire or recover goods; he ensures their proper custody and protection. Ethical governance includes responsible stewardship—securing what has been retrieved and preventing misuse or loss.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira arranged for certain items to be dug out from the ground and then safeguarded them by placing them into large chests/containers for secure keeping.
