Adhyāya 42 — Mahābhūta–Indriya–Adhyātma-Vyavasthā
Brahmā’s Instruction on Elements and Faculties
Inner concentration purifies a person from faults; when the mind is gathered inward and made steady, one gains direct realization of the Supreme by perceiving the Self established in the Self.
Vāyudeva is instructing a listener on the yogic method and its fruit: through disciplined inward focus and purification, the practitioner transcends defects and attains vision of the highest Reality.
