अकृते कृतमानित्वमज्ञाने ज्ञानमानिता । अमैत्री विकृताभावो हा श्रद्धा मूढठभावना
akṛte kṛtamānitvam ajñāne jñānamānitā | amaitrī vikṛtābhāvo hā śraddhā mūḍhaṭhabhāvanā ||
Vāyu dit : «S’enorgueillir d’actes qu’on n’a pas accomplis ; se croire sage tout en demeurant ignorant ; l’absence d’amitié ; une disposition dévoyée et pervertie ; la perte de la foi ; et une pensée obstinée, illusionnée—voilà les marques de la corruption intérieure et de la déchéance morale.»
