अम्बरीषगाथा—गुणत्रयविभागः तथा लोभनिग्रहः
Ambarīṣa’s Gāthā: The Guṇas and the Restraint of Greed
स तैर्गुणैः संहतदेहबन्धन: पुन: पुनर्जायति कर्म चेहते । जन्मक्षये भिन्नविकीर्णदेहो मृत्युं पुनर्गच्छति जन्मनैव
sa tair guṇaiḥ saṃhatadeha-bandhanaḥ punaḥ punar jāyati karma cehate | janma-kṣaye bhinna-vikīrṇa-deho mṛtyuṃ punaḥ gacchati janmanā eva ||
Solidement lié dans les entraves du corps tissées par ces guṇa, l’être incarné renaît sans cesse et continue ici à s’employer dans l’action. Quand le terme de cette naissance est épuisé, les constituants du corps se brisent, se disjoignent et se dispersent, et il rencontre la mort ; et par ce même processus il retombe encore dans le cycle des naissances et des morts.
