Marutta’s Sacrifice: Indra’s Threat, Saṃvarta’s Mantric Restraint, and Divine Reconciliation (अध्याय १०)
मरुत्त उवाच इन्द्र: साक्षात् सहसाभ्येतु विप्र हविर्यज्ञे प्रतिगृह्नातु चैव । स्वं स्वं धिष्णयं चैव जुषन्तु देवा हुतं सोम॑ प्रतिगृह्नन्तु चैव
Marutta uvāca: indraḥ sākṣāt sahasābhyetu vipra havir-yajñe pratigṛhṇātu caiva | svaṁ svaṁ dhiṣṇyaṁ caiva juṣantu devā hutaṁ somaṁ pratigṛhṇantu caiva ||
Marutta dit : «Ô brahmane-sage, fais en sorte qu’Indra lui-même vienne ici sans tarder et reçoive sa part dans ce sacrifice d’oblation. Que les autres dieux aussi prennent place sur leurs sièges respectifs et s’en réjouissent ; et que tous ensemble reçoivent le Soma offert et le boivent.»
