संवर्त उवाच वज्ञादुग्राद् व्येतु भयं तवाद्य वातो भूत्वा हन्मि नरेन्द्र बज़म् । भयं त्यक्त्वा वरमन्यं वृणीष्व कं ते काम॑ं मनसा साधयामि
Saṁvarta uvāca | vajñād ugrād vyetu bhayaṁ tavādya vāto bhūtvā hanmi narendra vajram | bhayaṁ tyaktvā varam anyaṁ vṛṇīṣva kaṁ te kāmaṁ manasā sādhayāmi ||
Saṃvarta dit : «Que ta peur du terrible foudre d’Indra s’évanouisse aujourd’hui. Prenant la forme du Vent, je rendrai sur-le-champ ce trait impuissant. Rejette la crainte et choisis de moi un autre don. Dis-moi : quel désir de ton esprit dois-je accomplir ?»
