Marutta’s Sacrifice: Indra’s Threat, Saṃvarta’s Mantric Restraint, and Divine Reconciliation (अध्याय १०)
अग्निदेव तुम्हारी सब ओरसे रक्षा करें। देवराज इन्द्र तुम्हारे लिये जलकी नहीं
Agnidevaḥ tumhārī saba orase rakṣā kareṃ. Devarāja Indra tumhāre liye jalakī nahīṃ, sampūrṇa kāmanāoṃ kī varṣā kareṃ, aura tumhāre vadhake liye uṭhe hue aura jalarāśike sātha cañcala gati se cale hue mahāghora vajrako ve Devendra apane hāthameṃ hī rakhe raheṃ.
Saṃvarta dit : «Qu’Agni te protège de tous côtés. Qu’Indra, roi des dieux, fasse pleuvoir sur toi non pas une simple eau, mais l’abondance entière de tes désirs. Et que l’effroyable foudre de Devendra—levée pour frapper celui qui voudrait te tuer et se ruant avec la vitesse fébrile d’un flot en crue—demeure retenue dans sa propre main.»
