अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira
वैशम्पायन उवाच तच्छुत्वा कुरुराजस्य वाक्यानि करुणानि ते । रुरुदु: सर्वशो राजन् समेता: कुरुजाजला:
vaiśampāyana uvāca
tac chrutvā kururājasya vākyāni karuṇāni te |
ruruduḥ sarvaśo rājan sametāḥ kurujāṅgalāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Ô roi (Janamejaya), entendant ces paroles pleines de compassion du roi des Kurus, tous les gens du pays de Kuru-Jāṅgala rassemblés là se mirent à pleurer de toutes parts.
