परस्परस्य सुह्दद: परस्परहिते रता: । 'सज्जनो! आप और कौरव चिरकालसे एक साथ रहते आये हैं। आप दोनों एक- दूसरेके सुहृद्‌ हैं और दोनों सदा एक-दूसरेके हितमें तत्पर रहते हैं

Transliteration

parasparasya suhṛdaḥ parasparahite ratāḥ |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : «Ils se veulent du bien l’un à l’autre et se consacrent au bien de l’autre. “Ô homme noble, toi et les Kaurava vivez ensemble depuis longtemps ; vous êtes amis l’un de l’autre, et tous deux veillez sans cesse au bien de l’autre.”»
