नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
कुरुकुलका भार वहन करनेवाले पितामह! मैं आपके मुखसे यह तारक-वधका सम्पूर्ण वृत्तान्त सुनना चाहता हूँ। इसके लिये मेरे मनमें बड़ा कौतूहल है ।।
Bhīṣma uvāca: Vipannakṛtyā rājendra devatā ṛṣayas tathā | Kṛttikāś codayāmāsur apatya-bharaṇāya vai ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô roi, lorsque leur entreprise tomba en péril et menaça de se briser, les dieux et les sages pressèrent les six Kṛttikās de prendre en charge l’élevage de cet enfant, afin que le dessein arrêté ne fût pas réduit à néant.»
