नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
लेभिरे परम हर्ष मेनिरे चासुरं हतम् । ततो देवा: प्रियाण्यस्य सर्व एव समाहरन्
bhīṣma uvāca | lebhire parama-harṣaṁ menire cāsuraṁ hatam | tato devāḥ priyāṇy asya sarva eva samāharan |
Bhishma dit : Ils atteignirent la joie la plus haute et se persuadèrent que l’asura serait mis à mort. Alors tous les dieux se rassemblèrent et lui apportèrent des offrandes chéries, des présents qui lui seraient agréables. (Dans le contexte, les voyants louent l’enfant et les Gandharvas chantent sa renommée ; voyant sa forme éclatante et prodigieuse, les dieux y reconnaissent un signe faste, gage certain de la fin de Tārakāsura.)
भीष्म उवाच
When righteous forces recognize a divinely sanctioned means to restore order, they respond with unified support and reverent offering; confidence arises not from arrogance but from perceiving auspicious signs aligned with dharma.
After seeing the extraordinary child (Kumāra/Skanda in the surrounding passage) and taking it as a sure sign that the demon Tāraka will be killed, the gods rejoice and collectively bring him offerings dear to him.
