Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तस्य चातमसो लोका गच्छत: परमां गतिम् । स्वलोके राजराज्येन सो5भिषिच्येत भार्गव
tasya cātamaso lokā gacchataḥ paramāṁ gatim | svaloke rājarājyena so ’bhiṣicyeta bhārgava ||
Vasiṣṭha dit : « Pour celui qui s’avance vers le but suprême, les mondes qu’il atteint sont exempts de ténèbres — des royaumes de lumière éclatante. Ô Bhārgava, dans sa propre sphère céleste, il est consacré à la souveraineté, jusqu’au rang de roi parmi les rois. »
वसिष्ठ उवाच
Righteous conduct that leads to the “supreme goal” is portrayed as yielding a luminous, darkness-free state and exalted honor; spiritual attainment is expressed through the imagery of radiant worlds and royal consecration.
Vasiṣṭha addresses a Bhārgava and describes the posthumous destiny of a meritorious person: he reaches radiant realms and is symbolically anointed to sovereign status in his own heavenly sphere.
