Chapter 84: Brahmā’s Counsel on Tāraka, the Search for Agni, and the Genesis of Skanda

गावस्तेजो महद् दिव्यं गवां दान॑ प्रशस्यते । ये चैता: सम्प्रयच्छन्ति साधवो वीतमत्सरा:
vyāsa uvāca | gāvas tejo mahad divyaṃ gavāṃ dānaṃ praśasyate | ye caitāḥ samprayacchanti sādhavo vītamatsarāḥ |
Vyāsa dit : «Les vaches possèdent une grande radiance divine ; c’est pourquoi le don de vaches est loué. Les hommes de bien qui, délivrés de jalousie et de malveillance, offrent ces vaches, sont tenus pour véritablement méritants. De tels donateurs sont comptés parmi ceux qui donnent tous les dons, et ils atteignent le monde saint des vaches, Goloka.»
