Merits of Cow-Gift and the Origin-Account of Kapilā Cows
मनोज्ञं सर्वभूतेभ्य: सर्वतन्त्रं प्रदृश्यत । ईदृशाद् विपुलाल्लोकान्नास्ति लोकस्तथाविध:
manojñaṃ sarvabhūtebhyaḥ sarvatantraṃ pradṛśyata | īdṛśād vipulāl lokān nāsti lokas tathāvidhaḥ ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Goloka apparaît délicieux à tous les êtres. Là, l’on voit un ordre universel où tout est tenu en commun, avec un accès égal pour chacun. Nul autre monde n’est comparable à ce royaume par une telle vasteté et une telle excellence.»
पितामह उवाच
The verse praises an ideal realm characterized by universal well-being: it is pleasing to all beings, governed by an all-encompassing order, and marked by equal access to its resources—suggesting an ethical vision of harmony, fairness, and shared prosperity.
Bhīṣma, speaking as the revered elder, describes Goloka’s exceptional greatness—its beauty, its inclusive arrangement for all beings, and its unmatched vastness—within his broader instruction on dharma and exemplary worlds.
