सद्यो ददाति यश्चान्नं सदैकाग्रमना नर: | न स दुर्गाण्यवाप्रोतीत्येवमाह पराशर:,पराशर मुनिका कथन है कि “जो मनुष्य सदा एकाग्रचित्त होकर याचकको तत्काल अन्नका दान करता है, उसपर कभी दुर्गम संकट नहीं पड़ता”
sadyo dadāti yaścānnaṃ sadaikāgramanā naraḥ | na sa durgāṇy avāpnotīty evam āha parāśaraḥ ||
Bhishma dit : Parāśara l’a déclaré ainsi — lorsqu’un homme, l’esprit fermement recueilli, donne aussitôt de la nourriture à celui qui la demande, ce donateur ne tombe pas dans des calamités difficiles à traverser. L’enseignement loue l’aumône prompte et attentive du soutien vital comme un acte de dharma protecteur.
