Cyavana Explains His Tests; Kuśika Seeks Brāhmaṇya for His Line (च्यवन–कुशिक संवादः)
अविशड्कस्तु कुशिकस्तथेत्येवाह धर्मवित् | न प्रबोधयतां तौ च दम्पती रजनीक्षये,धर्मज्ञ राज कुशिकने नि:ःशंक होकर कहा, “बहुत अच्छा'। रात बीती, सबेरा हुआ, किंतु उन पति-पत्नीने मुनिको जगाया नहीं
aviśaṅkastu kuśikastathetyevāha dharmavit | na prabodhayatāṃ tau ca dampatī rajanīkṣaye ||
Kuśika, connaisseur du dharma et sans la moindre suspicion, répondit : «Qu’il en soit ainsi ; fort bien.» Quand la nuit prit fin et que l’aube parut, l’époux et l’épouse n’avaient toujours pas réveillé le sage.
