Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
भीष्म उवाच महर्षेरवचनं श्रुत्वा नहुषो दुःखकर्शित: । स चिन्तयामास तदा सहामात्यपुरोहित:
bhīṣma uvāca mahārṣer vacanaṃ śrutvā nahuṣo duḥkhakarśitaḥ | sa cintayāmāsa tadā sahāmātya-purohitaḥ ||
Bhishma dit : « Ô Yudhishthira ! Ayant entendu les paroles du grand sage, le roi Nahusha—accablé par le chagrin—fut saisi d’une profonde détresse. Alors, avec ses ministres et le prêtre de sa lignée, il se mit à délibérer sur ce qu’il convenait de faire. »
