Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46
कुर्वाणं हि नरं कर्म पापं रहसि सर्वदा | पश्यन्ति ऋतवश्वापि तथा दिननिशे<प्युत,एकान्तमें पापकर्म करते हुए पुरुषको ऋतुएँ तथा रात-दिन सदा देखते रहते हैं
kurvāṇaṃ hi naraṃ karma pāpaṃ rahasi sarvadā | paśyanti ṛtavaś cāpi tathā dinaniśe 'py uta ||
Vipula dit : Même lorsqu’un homme commet des actes pécheurs en secret, il n’est jamais vraiment sans témoin — car les saisons, et de même le jour et la nuit, ne cessent d’observer. L’enseignement est que la responsabilité morale est inévitable : le mal dissimulé demeure exposé devant l’ordre du temps et du monde.
