'फिर अपने दोनों नेत्रोंको उन्होंने उसके नेत्रोंकी ओर लगाया और अपने नेत्रोंकी किरणोंको उसके नेत्रोंकी किरणोंके साथ जोड़ दिया। फिर उसी मार्गसे आकाशमें प्रविष्ट होनेवाली वायुकी भाँति रुचिके शरीरमें प्रवेश किया” ।।
lakṣaṇaṁ lakṣaṇenaiva vadanaṁ vadanena ca | aviceṣṭan na tiṣṭhad vai chāyevāntarhito muniḥ ||
Bhishma dit : «Faisant correspondre signe à signe et bouche à bouche, il entra en elle sans aucun mouvement extérieur et demeura parfaitement immobile. En cet instant, le grand sage Vipula, bien que présent, semblait comme disparu, tel une ombre.»
