Vipula’s Yogic Protection of the Guru’s Household (विपुलस्य योगरक्षा / Vipulasya Yogarakṣā)
लोकाननुचरनू् सर्वान् देवर्षिनरिद: पुरा । ददर्शाप्सरसं ब्राह्मीं पडचचूडामनिन्दिताम्
lokān anucaran sarvān devarṣi-nāradaḥ purā | dadarśāpsarasaṃ brāhmīṃ pañcacūḍām aninditām ||
Bhīṣma dit : Jadis, tandis que le sage divin Nārada parcourait tous les mondes, il aperçut dans le séjour de Brahmā une apsaras irréprochable nommée Pañcacūḍā ; rencontre qui ouvre la voie à une réflexion morale sur la conduite et la force de l’exemple vertueux.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse introduces a paradigmatic encounter used to ground ethical instruction: exemplary figures and their stories become vehicles for reflecting on dharma and blameless conduct.
Bhīṣma recounts that Nārada, traveling through the worlds, comes to Brahmā’s realm and sees the apsaras Pañcacūḍā, initiating the episode that follows.
