Even if a person has committed sins earlier in life, later sincere adoption of disciplined, dharmic practice can lead to the highest end; moral transformation is possible and is valued in dharma.
A Siddha is instructing the listener by giving a general rule about human conduct and its results: earlier sinful actions do not irrevocably doom a person if they later turn toward a purifying discipline symbolized here by taking up the gadā.
