मेने दिविष्ठमात्मानं तुष्टया परमया युत:ः । शुद्ध अन्तःकरणवाले उन ऋषि-मुनियोंकी बातें सुनकर भीष्मजी बहुत संतुष्ट हुए और अपनेको स्वर्गमें ही स्थित मानने लगे
Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: mene divi-stham ātmānaṃ tuṣṭyā paramayā yutaḥ.
Vaiśampāyana dit : Comblé d’un contentement suprême, Bhīṣma se considéra comme déjà établi au ciel. En entendant les paroles au cœur pur de ces sages, il fut profondément satisfait, comme si la pureté intérieure et l’avis des connaisseurs du dharma donnaient, même en ce monde, un avant-goût de la délivrance.
