रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti

भक्‍त्या हाुनन्यमीशानं परं देव॑ सनातनम्‌ | कर्मणा मनसा वाचा भावेनामिततेजस:

bhaktyā hāunanyam īśānaṁ paraṁ devaṁ sanātanam | karmaṇā manasā vācā bhāvenāmitatejasaḥ ||

Vāyu dit : «Avec dévotion, adorez Īśāna—le Dieu suprême, éternel. Par les actes, la pensée, la parole et l’élan du cœur, ceux qui, d’une concentration sans partage, méditent sans cesse sur Śiva, Seigneur du monde et Dieu immuable—qu’ils soient éveillés ou endormis, marchant ou assis, jusque dans le simple geste d’ouvrir et de fermer les yeux—se trouvent comblés d’une splendeur spirituelle sans mesure. Et ceux qui écoutent et parlent de lui, qui s’entretiennent de sa grandeur et le louent continuellement par cet hymne, deviennent eux-mêmes dignes d’éloge; ils demeurent toujours satisfaits et se réjouissent dans cette dévotion.»

Single-pointed devotion to Śiva—expressed through action, thought, speech, and heartfelt intention—purifies the devotee and yields ‘amita-tejas’, an immeasurable spiritual potency.
