यजनं बहुशश्चाग्नौ जगु: सामानि सामगा: । ततश्चन्दनकाष्ठैश्ष तथा कालीयकैरपि

Transliteration

yajanaṃ bahuśaścāgnau jaguḥ sāmāni sāmagāḥ | tataścandanakāṣṭhaiś ca tathā kālīyakair api ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : les chantres du Sāma versèrent à maintes reprises des oblations dans le feu sacré et entonnèrent les hymnes sāman. Puis ils y ajoutèrent encore du bois de santal et le parfum kālīyaka, renforçant la solennité et la pureté du rite par des substances auspiciées et odorantes.
