यथा ह्ुपस्थितैश्वर्या: प्रजायन्ते न राजसा: । एवमेवात्मना5७त्मानं पूजयन्तीह धार्मिका:
yathā hy upasthitaiśvaryāḥ prajāyante na rājasāḥ | evam evātmanātmānaṃ pūjayantīha dhārmikāḥ ||
Bhishma dit : «De même que ceux dont la souveraineté est déjà établie ne cherchent pas à renaître par un effort rajasique (mû par la passion), de même les justes honorent ici le Soi par le Soi. Par une pratique disciplinée du dharma, ils élèvent leur être intérieur et atteignent un état plus haut, veillant à ne pas retomber dans le cycle des naissances et des morts sous l’emprise du rajas.»
